Now you guys are not going to believe me if I tell you where I came up with the concept of Throwaway Fashion, but like all things holy I actually saw it in a dream. (Holy grail of fashion, why not?)
My name is Lucy Partner, and i'm currently studying English at Southampton University. But my main, highly important (ha) skill lies in the world of fashion, and my beady eye for a bargain. Like my mother before me, I refuse to pay full price for pretty much anything. And so I have trawled charity and vintage shops far and wide, scrolled through countless Ebay pages and sales to get my on-trend yet cheap wardrobe.
I was always being asked "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!" and honestly there is no bigger satisfaction than replying "Charity shop...". Their reaction when they realised they paid £50 for that Urban Outfitters "vintage" sweater is priceless.
It seemed though, that people had struggled to find anything on Ebay or vintage shops. And so my baby was born. Throwaway Fashion is all about creating a unique style and trawling for those vintage items so you don't have to.
Throwaway also champions independent brands of clothing and accessories, including online and local stores. By promoting these independent brands the fashion community works with one another to keep our unique style alive.
We find it, We style it, You Buy it.
